Supertubos — WSL World Tour
Supertubos is known as the 'European Pipeline.' Its thick, hollow barrels draw the world's best surfers every October for the MEO Rip Curl Pro. The break fires on north swells from October through March — heavy, fast, and unforgiving. Intermediate surfers will find the nearby beach breaks kinder and just as fun.

Baleal is a tombolo — a tiny island connected to the mainland by a sand spit, with beaches on both sides. The south-facing beach is calm and perfect for beginners; the north side picks up swell for intermediates. The small village has surf schools, restaurants, and a sunset bar facing the open Atlantic.
Peniche Fortress & Coastal Trail
Peniche Fortress — once a political prison under the Salazar dictatorship — sits on the peninsula's southern tip with sweeping Atlantic views. The coastal trail east of town passes sea caves and miradouros overlooking the full Berlengas chain. Best walked at golden hour.
